KEEPING AN EYE ON ISRAEL

With the war are drums beating louder every day and Israel and the US sitting still allowing Iran to build an arsenal of ballistic missiles capable of reaching all of Israel and most of Europe. We see Iran taking over Lebanon and shipping in missile that can reach all of Israel as well.   And to think that Iran doesn’t have some nuclear war heads on some missiles would be naive to say the least.

Russia is more than flexing her muscles attacking an US ally “Georgia” and mass bombing civilian populations and making sure to bomb the pipe line that carries oil to the west, the only oil in that region that was not under Russian control.

As you read this the largest group of naval war ships since the Second World War are headed into the Persian Gulf.   While Russia is making her statement to the US not to build anti-missile bases in her back yard and making certain that Georgia understands that they will not allow her to join NATO.   http://www.debka.com/article.php?aid=1223

Does it look like war, it sure does and soon.   But we all know these things have a way of building up and them letting off some, but this time I have a feeling it is the real thing and we are about to see what will most likely be the Third World War kick off, in short our world will change forever.

The big question is how Russia will react when the US and or Israel takes out the Iranian threat. Most everyone believes Russia has several nuclear submarines off both US coast at all times capable of taking out cities in a very quick order and the US has no defense against such an attack.   Possibly the real question is would Bush launch missiles knowing that he just destroyed most of the world possibly all of it, or would he surrender?

Or will this war stay centralized in the Middle East and the Baltic’s, allowing the Islamic Arab world to try once again to destroy Israel.   The next question I can answer, how far will Israel go to protect itself?   We here in Israel will not allow another Holocaust and we will use everything we have to survive.

With all of this happening it some times is difficult to keep our eyes on the things of God, but God has called some of us to a mission to save Jewish lives, and many times every day I find myself asking God to show me the things He would have me do.   You see knowing all the above does one little good for there is absolutely nothing you or I will be able to do to stop this insanity.   But what it should do is bring us closer to God and His Word.

According to what I am seeing and hearing here in Israel we could have precious little time to prepare, but let us thank God for every day He gives us.   If this report frightens you, good, because if you haven’t woke up you need to now and begin acting like you know what is happening to your country and world.   If God has called you to support this or any other Ministry now would be the right time for you to do just that, for we are very limited by finances to how much we can accomplish, no one is giving away fuel or the thousands other things we need.

I am going to leave the report short and to the point because I want it to hit hard.   This whole thing might blow over like so many other times, but I have a feeling this is the real thing, so bring yourself and family as close to God as you possibly can.   Your support for this Ministry is needed now more than ever.

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem for our son Joel and all the IDF soldiers.   Pray for this Ministry and your part in it.

Shalom, jerry golden

The Israel Star
While the subject of Israel is indeed the star of end-times Bible prophecy, so far as the nations are concerned, the title of this week’s Nearing Midnight column is not used in reference to that fact. Neither is the blue, six-pointed pyramid/inverted pyramid star that is the symbol of modern Israel the subject of this commentary. The flavor of this piece, however, does include the aforementioned factors.

Particularly, by “the Israel star” I mean to liken the modern incarnation of God’s chosen nation to Planet Earth’s own star, the sun. Just as all bodies in this solar system revolve around the sun, so, it seems, issues, events–nations—revolve around this tiny sliver of land in the Middle East. We will look briefly at things orbiting the Jewish state. The orbits of Israel’s satellites are decaying, and the prophetic Word of God forewarns that as Christ’s return nears, all orbiting humanistic matter will threaten to destroy the Israel star.

The prophecy is plainly in view, and we have used it many times. It becomes more manifest, more relevant for our time, with each passing second.

“The burden of the word of the LORD for Israel, saith the LORD, which stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him. Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem. And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it” (Zech. 12:1-3).

The end-time’s satellites orbiting the minuscule nation and city that God himself calls “the apple of my eye” are everywhere one looks on the geopolitical, socioeconomic, and ecumenical/religious skyline. The orbiting geopolitical issues and events are pressing hard against the atmospherics surrounding Israel.

On the geopolitical front, the Quartet (the U.S., EU, Russia, and U.N.), representing ostensibly the international community, pushes forward with attempts to force a peace process upon Israel and her Islamic/Arab neighbors. The “Palestinian problem” is at the center of the whole Mid-East powder keg that threatens thermonuclear confrontation once Iran gets atomic weapons with the capability to rain the warheads upon the hated Jewish nation the Iranian leader has vowed to erase from existence.

American administration pressures are an everyday diplomatic tactic, while the U.S. secretary of state–and even the president—travel to the region to strongly urge acceptance of the terms of the "Roadmap to Peace." At the heart of the process is the demand that Israel divide its already small land, and that a Palestinian state, created from donated Israeli land, comes into existence for the hapless Palestinian people.

Socioeconomically, Israel is increasingly blamed by the western and growing eastern industrialized power players for the exploding prices per barrel of oil. The unsettled Middle East, at the center of which sits the Jewish state, has a stranglehold on the great, wealth-producing entities. Israel’s refusal to give in to all demands its oil-rich neighbors desire is at the back of the minds of all who thirst for energy to fuel their industrial bases. Again, the craving for a peace that will settle things is at the heart of all of these exigencies orbiting the Jewish state.

Leaders of the wealthier nations are now feeling fierce pressures of their peoples, the ones who do the work that produces the wealth. For example, the truckers of Europe are becoming violent because of diesel prices. Citizenries are more and more feeling the pinch of the upwardly raging prices of petroleum–again, the problem festering in the heart of the Middle East. Societal/cultural pressures are almost certainly set to force leaderships to make moves that will assuage the angers of the working classes within America and Europe–those who have become accustomed to less expensive oil and the cheaper offshoot luxuries they’ve enjoyed.

Again, Israel is seen as the core of the boiling, growing problems that afflict the world socioeconomically.

The anti-Israel religious factions that orbit the nation during these end times increasingly are threatening pressures to force the Jewish state into acquiescing to their angry surrounding neighbors. Some clergy within mainline Reform churches–those that broke from Catholicism in Luther’s Reformation—are making their wishes known. They are supporting the causes of those of Israel’s neighbors. At the heart of this is the part of the Catholic dogma from which the Reform movement clergy never broke. That is, they still hold that the Church has replaced Israel as God’s people of His promises.

Modern Israel has nothing to do with prophecy yet future, is the mantra. This lie from the pit of Satan’s lair will, I believe the prophetic Word of God foretells, be at the center of the whole world crushing around and marginalizing this people of destiny–the Jews.

SAN JOSE, Calif. — The Presbyterian Church is hearing impassioned pleas to declare its solidarity with the Palestinian Arabs by adopting a series of anti-Israel measures, including proposals for divestment and for backing a suspension of American military aid to the Jewish state…[The body’s "peace committee"] voted, 38-26, to endorse the Amman Call, a peace proposal that includes a Palestinian Arab "right of return," a guarantee that Jewish leaders contend would lead to the demise of Israel as a Jewish state… ("Presbyterians Urged To Side With Palestinians," Josh Gerstein, New York Sun, June 25, 2008).

A star once pointed the way to Israel, and the Prince of Peace was born into a world needing saving. The Israel star today, though in unbelief, and unwittingly, is pointing to the prophetic fact that that returning Prince is on His way to truly bring tranquility to a world about to self-destruct.

Olmert's Crazy Idea-May 1st/2008

Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert is said to be willing to give back Syria 's Golan Heights in return for peace with the Arab state. No, this is not some belated April Fool's joke. Several sources have confirmed this as a fact.

According to government officials, Israel is very serious about returning the land as part of a peace pact. There are several conditions that Syria would first need to meet. Israel made clear that any peace agreement would necessitate Syria ending its support for Hamas and throwing Hamas political leader Khaled Mashaal out of Damascus; ceasing support for Hezbollah; and distancing itself from Iran .

Olmert gave clues to Israeli newspapers two week ago when he said that the two nations had exchanged messages clarifying what each would expect from a peace deal.

"They know what we want from them, and I know full well what they want from us," Olmert told the Israeli newspaper Yediot Ahronot. " Israel is open to peace with Syria," he told another paper, Maariv.

Syrian President Assad told officials of Syria 's ruling Baath party that the exchange explored the possibility of resuming peace talks. Israel "knows well what is accepted and not accepted by Syria ."

The Golan Heights was seized from Syria in the 1967 Mideast War. The territory was successfully defended in the 1973 Yom Kippur War and a sizable portion was later returned to Syria in the 1980s.

The Golan Heights is of strategic importance because it is a plateau and mountainous region that lies between Israel and Syria . Without this buffer zone, much of Israel 's northern population center would be within visual range of Syrian artillery and rockets.

A return of the whole of the Golan would bring the board right down to the shores of the Sea of Galilee . The city of Tiberias would have to worry about attacks from Syrian gun boats.

Another important thing about the Golan Heights is that much of Israel 's water comes from the Golan Mountains. The headwaters of the Jordan river are set in the Golan.

Leaders from Israel 's Likud Party wasted no time condemning the plan. Lawmaker Yuval Steinitz accused Olmert of "unprecedented recklessness" in a the message exchange. "Without the Golan, Israel will be hard-pressed to defend its existence." Likud Party Whip Gidon Saar said Olmert is "gambling irresponsibly with Israel 's national and strategic assets, (and there is) no public support to do so."

In my view, Israel would be signing its death warrant in giving up the Golan Heights . The fiasco that resulted from the turning over of the Gaza Strip to the Palestinians should have convinced Olmert that this is a dumb idea. Once Israel pulled out of Gaza, Islamic terrorists quickly moved in, and now everyday rockets are being fired into southern Israel from the Gaza board.

I don't see why Israel thinks it's required to give back this land. Syria lost the Golan Heights as result of a surprise attack it launched against Israel . If history is any guide, the aggressor in any war is always out of luck when it comes to redrawing the map. Germany lost a large part of its western territory to Poland as a result of World War II. Japan lost several islands in the conflict.

In 1981, Israel had already decided to annex the Golan Heights. It got cold feet when the international community refused to recognize its claim to the Golan. By acknowledging that it holds territory that rightfully belongs to its neighbor, Israel has made itself look like an unjust occupier.

I would hope that the Israeli people will never agree to such a crazy idea. Unfortunately, the promise of peace has caused the public into supporting equally foolish decisions in the past.

Just by making this proposal, the chance of war with Syria is made all the more likely. If the Golan territory is given back, militants could easily move into these rugged mountains and launch hit-and-run terror attacks against Jewish settlements. If Israel fails to follow through on its decision to give back the land, Syria has already promised it will launch a war to liberate its territory.

Explosion or Implosion???

As Israel and the US dread the thought of the possibility of a nuclear bomb over head it may be that not enough attention is being given to the spiritual and ecological deterioration over shadowing us.

The January tornados across 5 states in the US along with all the other ecological disasters that have befallen the US every time Bush or Rice try to force Israel to give away God’s land to the enemies of not only God but mankind in general, has still not had any effect on President Bush and his desire to bring Israel to total destruction in favor of his Saudi Friends.

Bush landed in Israel today causing total disruption in Jerusalem and everywhere he travels, he has the highest level of security ever offered any visitor to Israel.   He will travel to Bethlehem and surely not mention or noticed the fact that the Islamist has driven the Christians from this birth place of Messiah Yeshua (Jesus), or the surrounding areas of Bet Jallah or Bet Sahour. Or that today on “Christmas” it is Abbas that is the honored guess not Jesus.   While in Ramallah he will be protected by terrorist like al- Aksa Martyrs Brigades who have killed hundreds of Israelis Jews with their suicide bombers and ambush road attacks.   He will travel to Jericho and will not notice or mention that in this town like the first two mentioned Israeli Jews are not allowed there.   But as he looks, if he looks, he will noticed that there are Arab villages all over Israel and no one is telling them they are occupying Jewish land or that they can’t live here.

What begins today is the Bush, Olmert Circus all designed to save Olmert and hopefully help Bush in his last year.   While the Bush Olmert Circus is in town the IDF will halt all its operations against those who continue to send their Kassam rockets at our civilians with no condemnation from the UN or anyone else.

At the last minute Bush is proposing Interim International Forces to come into Judea and Samaria (West Bank) much like the UN has done in southern Lebanon and have given cover to Hezbollah to re-establish its military strength even stronger then it was before the second Lebanon War.

It has also come to my attention that during Bush’s visit he will not speak with any of the opposition leaders such as Netanyahu or Landau because he is not interested in what the majority of Israelis want or are worried about these days, he has his own agenda, the Road Map to Hell.   If there ever was a dog and pony show this is certainly it.

For the past few days there have been protestors on every corner in Jerusalem, all trying to tell Bush that he can’t save Olmert this time, that we want him out of office.   One such sign that has gained popularity is
It never has looked worse,

We will praise God anyhow. Rom 8:28.

With Syria massing its troops on our northern border and calling up its reserve troops, Hezbollah rearmed to the teeth by Iran and Syria, Hamas showing courage that can only be explained by Islamic driven insanity.   That would make things look bad enough here in Israel.   But we also know that Syria has armed nearly all of their warheads with chemicals like VX, Saran and Mustard Gas.   Thanks to Russia, China and North Korea, and Iran they now have missiles, that can reach every part of Israel and not just the northern parts like last summers war.

Add to that we now have the USS Enterprise and all its battle support in the Persian Gulf and now we see two more carriers the USS Limits and the USS Truman Strike Groups headed for the gulf as well.   All with only one thing in mind that is to take out the Iranian Nuclear capability.   In the mean time Iran has dozens of missiles pointed at Israel and say without hesitation that the instant they are attacked they will unleash them all on Israel.

When you start to put all this together we can easily see where a few THOUSAND missiles armed with Chemical and who knows what the Iranians have even possible nukes all coming at Israel at the same time.   To even think that we can intercept all of them would be a gross mistake.   The only possible way for Israel to win this war is to preempt and everyone knows it, but with the present leadership in Israel there is no courage or conviction to do anything other than please George W. Bush.

It came out in today’s Israeli Papers that the majority of the Israeli public is without gas masks and our Defense Minister Ehud Barak says he does not want to issue them for fear that Syria might think we are preparing for war.   This is the same man who pulled out of Southern Lebanon making it possible for Hezbollah to build up their forces and attack us last summer.   Also the same man who was once Prime Minister and offered Arafat all of the West Bank and the Temple Mount.   This man is now back in power working with the most corrupt Prime Minister (Ehud Olmert) Israel has ever had even worse then he was.

It would appear that Israel is now controlled by those who have long since given up on the Zionist Dream of a homeland for us Jews.   They now find it necessary to go to the Vatican and get approval from the Pope before doing anything.   Or Peres goes both to the Pope and his Illuminati friends in France before making in major moves in Israel.

To say we are in terrible trouble here in Israel would be an understatement, but it must be considered by those of us who know God and have been called by His Spirit that it is God who will have the final say when it comes to Israel and the nation of Israel and more to the point the city of Jerusalem.

So many times I’ve asked God in prayer why He would want me to prepare to rescue Jews with all the gloom and doom around us here in this land.   The answer is always the same to continue on the path I’ve set before you, and there are yet things you don’t know that will come to pass before your eyes.   I don’t mind telling you that in the natural the desire to just leave is very strong, but there is no doubt in my heart and spirit that if that was to happen God would stop me from leaving in some way.   Connie, Joel and I have decided that we choose to follow God in all things and to serve Him in anyway He chooses.   We will save Jewish lives and we will be successful, it is a lie of the Devil that will stop others from joining us, and those who truly hear from God will be with us to the very end.   We still may have time to purchase the larger boat, but one thing is certain there is much still to be accomplished in ground work.   We will make a short trip to visit with safe houses in another country this week and be gone only 4 days we ask for your prayers.

Today we had 60+ IDF soldiers wounded some very seriously in the Negev from missiles fired out of Gaza, please pray for these young men, they were new recruits on the first day of basic training.

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem, for our son Joel and all the IDF soldiers.   Pray for this Ministry and your part in it.

The war cries are coming from a lot of different directions, not all of them from our Arab neighbors who have sworn to destroy us.   That is not to say we are not in a heap of trouble with Iran and Syria making their war plans for an attack that most believe will come within a few weeks possibly sooner.   That also means Hezbollah and Hamas who are armed paid and encouraged by Iran will be involved in the attack on Israel.   Then we have that sly fox in Egypt that has been armed by the US, North Korea, China and God only knows who else and ready to join the fight if he can be convinced that this time the Arabs can run us into the sea, killing all the Jews.

Most of the above hinges on Iran and the crazy demon processed leader Ahmadinejad who keeps on track in has desire to develop nuclear weapons while the US, Israel and the rest of the “free” world sits still unable to summons up the necessary courage to do what has to be done to stop him.

To add insult to injury we have our gift from Ariel Sharon, Ehud Olmert, who dances to the tunes played by Bush and Rice and could careless about what is right and just for Israel.   With the aid of the number one propaganda tool called the TV news channels and the evil spin doctors the good Jews of Israel much like the good citizens of the US are being brain washed into believing that bad is good and good is bad.

With progress being made daily by the Islamic forces in Judea, Samaria and Gaza to destroy Israel and no chance of any peace with these so-called “Palestinians” Bush and Rice keep making their speeches that they will force a two state solution on Israel.   Knowing without any doubt it would spell the total destruction of Israel.   Rice is due to come to Israel this coming week and before she even got here she said that the only solution is a “Palestinian State”, With America flooding and burning Bush and Rice just don’t get it, and they may never get it, but the USA will get it of that you can be sure.

Bush continues to say that his war is against the Islamic Terrorist, I can’t help but wonder what he calls the enemies of Israel; Hamas, Hezbollah, Abbas and his PLO and PA they are all terrorists organizations operating in the (West Bank) and Gaza.   And for those who still don’t understand that Bush has made a deal with the Saudis and other Arab States to hand them Israel by means of his Road Map.   All you have to do is look at what happened to Gaza after Bush forced Israel to disengage making over 9,000 Jews homeless in their own land.   Now we have a Taliban Hamastan building one of the world’s strongest Terrorist bases.   His plan is to do the same thing in the mountains of Judea and Samaria (West Bank) making it absolutely certain of the total destruction of Israel.

But these are not the only threats we are faced with, the 6th fleet in the Mediterranean and the 5th in the Persian Gulf both at an unprecedented force.   I read today the USS Enterprise with a group of battle ships are in the Mediterranean having war games with the French of all people.   Weekly we hear of more US Navy war vessels entering both the Mediterranean and the Persian Gulf.   We all know why they are here and there is an old adage, once you have everything in place you either use it or lose it.   And I think they have every intention of using all of this fire power very soon now and this world is going to go completely insane, many thousands will die and the world as you know it will change forever.   Ahmadinejad has made no secret that when the shooting starts his first target is Israel with hundreds of missiles and we can only guess what the warheads will be armed with.

It may be good to stop and realize that all those conspiracy nuts out there saying the illuminati and the New World Order are in control.   I’ve struggled for years tying to figure out how this small group of men can control the whole world and I have come to the conclusion that they couldn’t less God allowed them at the point in time that He chooses to bring about His Prophetic Word to pass before our very eyes.   I have walked with the Lord for nearly 40 years I now understand that first these battles are fought out in the Heaven and the Devil can do nothing without God’s permission.   That is hard for many to believe but it is true. You see with God there is no good or bad, there is only true or false.   This good and bad thing is what we inherited from the Garden of Eden; it makes us think we are like a god to make these judgments when God sits on High judging whether it is true to His Word or false.   I know many reading this will not agree or be able to accept that, but it still remains to be true, you see the Word of God is something you have to not just know but you have to experience it.   And while I am preaching I will say this as well, the truth is the truth, if you believe it or not. And what you believe may have nothing to do with what the truth is.   And because you believe something does not make it the truth.   For the truth of our creation and our destiny is all written in God’s Word and it is God’s truth that will prevail.   One step further and then I will get back on the subject, not one of us will go to heaven for any other reason than Yeshua did, it is on His back we ride and by His blood we have forgiveness for our horrible sinful lives, no one reading this deserves to go to heaven.   Not one of us has the right to judge anyone, but we do and will for it is our human nature, God made us and He understands that.   But if you are a Believer in Yeshua HaMashiach (Jesus the Messiah) God is judging you by your works, and to know to do good and do it not is a sin.   So you see God knows we judge by our own standards of good and bad, but God’s ways are not our ways.   God speaks to the hearts and spirits of those who truly know Him and for those who God has joined to this Ministry know what we must do.

War is getting ready to rock this whole world and when God is finished shaking there will be many that has fallen away from their faith and this will be the great falling away, the blame for most of the ones who will fall away is the man made denominational churches with their false doctrine of pie in the sky and easy Believism.   Only the Overcomers will survive and be a shining light for Yeshua.   This is not a popular gospel but a true one straight from God’s Word.   And if you preach it you will soon find out how unpopular it is.

I thought about taking the last two paragraphs out because it is preaching, but I will leave them there knowing it will upset many who don’t stand on God’s Word but stand on some man made doctrine.   Folks it is way past time to get real with yourself and with God, for if you are not real with yourself you cannot be real with God.   God is real and He works with real men and women in a real world, so get real with Him.   God has planted our feet firmly on the ground here in Israel and given us the most important ministry I have ever heard of it literally touches God’s heart.   We have precious little time to use what we have been given.

Jews are beginning to pour out of Europe, over 600 came three day ago from France and thousands are making plans to come, but the door will suddenly be shut for them to come by airlines, and the sea will be the only way, we need a larger boat, please pray with us over this need.

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem, for our son Joel and all the IDF soldiers. Pray for this Ministry and your part in it.   Shalom, jerry golden

July 11/2007 war and peace in the middle east jack kelley

If you have come to me in peace, to help me, I am ready to have you unite with me. But if you have come to betray me to my enemies when my hands are free from violence, may the God of our fathers see it and judge you." (1 Chron. 12:17)

They dress the wound of my people as though it were not serious.   'Peace, peace,' they say, when there is no peace. (Jeremiah 6:14)

In a study of contrasts, two major coming events were announced this week that demonstrate the volatility of the Middle East these days.

The first was a report I received stating that a meeting between Quartet (US, UN, EU, and Russia), Palestinian Authority, and Israeli leaders will take place in Egypt in mid-July. The meeting was announced by the EU's Javier Solana, and will feature Tony Blair in his first big assignment as the Quartet's Middle East envoy.

According to a report in the The Daily Star Egypt these countries are very close to finalizing a peace treaty between Israel and the Palestinians.   It would feature a two-state solution similar to the one Yassir Arafat was said to have been offered at the 2000 Camp David meeting by then Israeli PM Ehud Barak and then US Pres. Bill Clinton. (Although it was practically everything he had demanded, Arafat turned it down and went home to begin the 2000 Intifada.)

Apparently ‘moderate’ Palestinians are now ready to sign such a peace treaty with Israel. “It is looking positive in the West Bank,” the report says, where Israel has returned tax revenues to the Palestinian Authority and the EU has resumed relations with the PA.   Palestinian President Abbas also enjoys the support of the US, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan.

Abbas is actually stronger than before as he and his Fatah party no longer need approval from Hamas, as was the case under their unity government. If this plan succeeds, Hamas will be relegated to the status of a terrorist organization in control of an isolated Gaza Strip, while the Palestinian State would occupy a substantially enlarged area of the West Bank.   Hamas' recent success in gaining the release of BBC reporter Alan Johnston was an attempt to counter this marginalization and get back into the mainstream.

Some are saying that this meeting in Egypt could actually result in peace between Israel and the Palestinians before the end of July.   If it really does, and if the treaty's provisions are adhered to, it could begin the period of peace that leads us to the Battle of Ezekiel 38.   Think of the possibilities.   The security fence could come down, to be replaced by an international peace keeping force that gives Israel a false sense of security in a land of unwalled villages.   The peace keeping force could even include Russians, giving them an excuse to have a contingent of troops in the Middle East.   This one bears watching.

The highways are deserted, no travelers are on the roads.   The treaty is broken, its witnesses are despised, no one is respected.   The land mourns and wastes away, Lebanon is ashamed and withers (Isaiah 33:8-9)
News of the other event arrived in my email on Friday July 6. According to Arab and Iranian sources the crisis in Lebanon could erupt into violence by mid-July.   That's when the Hizballah backed Lebanese opposition has threatened to set up a second government to challenge the pro-west al-Siniora regime's right to govern.   Hizballah could even turn its weapons on Lebanese targets in Beruit in an effort to unseat the al-Siniora government.
While various political reasons are given as justification for the crisis, in truth it's being created by Syria in an effort to stage a coup in Lebanon and take over the government. In recognition of the potential for violence, Syria has ordered all of its citizens living in Lebanon to return home by July 15. The establishment of a rival government could literally split Lebanon in half with the south and east following the opposition while the north and west remain loyal to the current government. (The southern part of Lebanon shares a border with Israel and the eastern portion lies next to Syria.)

Certain of the outcome, the Syrian army is already building fortified positions and digging trenches in eastern Lebanon, and Hizballah is moving arms and equipment into the south in its most flagrant violation yet of the UN resolution.   Their intention is to create a military zone in preparation for war with Israel.

The opposition believes that the Lebanese army will remain neutral in this coup attempt, and the UN troops, stationed there to prevent another war with Israel, will realize their safety cannot be assured and depart.

Syria has also opened a border crossing with Israel that's been closed for 40 years.   It's in the Golan and its purpose is to allow Syrian terrorists into Israel.   These terrorists call themselves resistance fighters whose goal is to liberate the Golan.   They'll be following a strategy similar to that which the Palestinians have used against Israel in the south, with suicide bombings and other attacks against civilian and military targets. They've been training in Syria over the past year and are now ready to go on the offense.

Observers believe that this is another attempt to lure Israel into a confrontation with Syria and its client Hizballah.   It seems like new experts come forward with predictions for a summer war between Israel and Syria almost every day.   The latest is Dennis Ross, the former senior American Middle East peace negotiator.

If Syria's coup attempt in Lebanon is allowed to mature, the odds are that the war everyone's predicting will in fact take place.   And as incredible as this sounds, Syria is arming missiles with chemical warheads for use against Israel, believing that if they launch them, Israel will flatten Damascus in retaliation.   Accordingly they're moving the country's archives out of Damascus to preserve their records against such an eventuality.   It's like they've read Isaiah 17 and accepted the outcome as a reasonable price to pay.

We'll know in a week or two whether either or both of these events will take place as announced.   If it's not God's timing something will happen at the last minute to stop them.   But if they are at the top of His agenda, then by the end of July, it's quite possible that the "birth pangs" we're experiencing will have taken a big leap in both frequency and intensity, meaning that our "delivery" may be coming sooner than we think.

If you still have one foot in the Kingdom and the other in the World, it's time to take the final step and get serious about preparing for your next life.   This one may be about over.   You can almost hear the footsteps of the Messiah. 07-07-07

SHALOM FROM JERUSALEM,

Although I rarely send out other people’s news articles to this large international Israel Update list, I felt the report below, published on Sunday in Israel’s largest daily newspaper, Yediot Ahronot, merited that treatment.   It concerns ominous Syrian war preparations, and contains some information that I had not previously seen.   It comes as the Israeli government’s Security Cabinet is preparing to hold a special session on Wednesday to examine growing evidence that Syria is preparing for war, and one day after rogue Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said yet again that Israel will soon be completely destroyed.   I will include a short article about that below as well.

This Tuesday, June 5, marks the 40th anniversary of the start of the Six Day War, which significantly altered the face of the Middle East map and the course of history.   Some Israeli commentators are concerned that Syria and its allies might attempt to erase the results of that war in the comings days or weeks, especially by launching an attack on the Golan Heights, captured from Syria by IDF forces on June 10, 1967.   All of this obviously suggests an extra need for prayer and alertness at this time, and that is the main reason I decided to send you the following articles.

Another Yom Kippur War?

Assad advocates diplomatic talks, yet evidence shows he is preparing for war

The UN Security Council's decision to establish an international court to try Basher Assad and his relatives for the murder of former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri has made the Syrian government frantic. This development may come at Israel's expense, as within the battle for his survival Assad may embark on a war against Israel sooner than expected.

It's difficult not to notice that the Syrians are heading for war since they are convinced that Israel has lost its former "killer instinct" and fears a conflict. The Syrians followed the suicidal attitude that prevailed here following the Second Lebanon War with gaping mouths. They view the public criticism prevalent in the Israeli press and culture, as well as the Winograd's Commission's testimonies, as their strategic assets.

As a result of the last war they understood that there is no need for a large ground force, but rather, missiles aimed at dense Israeli population centers. For the past two years the Syrians have been engaged in massive acquisitions from Russia. In the past they owed some $11 billion to the Russians, yet in 2005 the Russians erased part of the debt and the rest was covered by the Iranians.

Syria began equipping itself with advanced anti-aircraft missiles in order to crush our Air Force, anti-tank missiles - as the last war demonstrated that our armored corps weren't prepared - and cruise missiles against our Navy.

The Saudi London-based daily al-Sharq al-Awsat reported that Syria has completed the deployment of Chinese C-802 cruise missiles, which

it acquired from Iran, and that the deployment of its Air Force has also been completed. Russia has expressed its willingness to also sell the Syrians its most advanced 280 kilometers (174 miles) range Iskander missile, more than enough to strike at any destination in Israel. Each such missile features an optical GPS navigational system that allows operators to guide missiles to their targets.

Wide-scale exercises

Two additional developments of concern occurred recently: Al-Sharq al-Awsat reported that as of May the Syrian army has been engaged in a series of wide-scale military exercises. In 1973, as it may be recalled, these exercises turned out to be a de facto attack. Even the Israeli ambassador to the US, Salai Meridor, has officially confirmed that Syria has significantly boosted its military presence on the border with Israel. "Since the Yom Kippur War Syria hasn't deployed such a significant number of forces on the border," he said.

What can Israel do in face of these alarming developments? As the IDF has lost its power of deterrence, it must be reinstated, post haste. Israel must make it clear that if Syria launches a surprise assault, it may signify the end of Assad's regime. These moves must be coordinated with the US in order to place the option of an American-Israeli alliance on the table. As it may be recalled, large American forces are stationed on the Syria-Iraq border.

In addition, the positive relations between Israel and the Turkish army should be taken advantage of so that Assad will understand that in the event of a surprise assault he would have to confront forces on the Turkish border as well.

And finally, we should explain to the world that this is how Assad is fooling Israel and the world: He advocates diplomatic talks, yet evidence shows he is preparing for war.

Iranian President Predicts Israel's Destruction

By VOA News
03 June 2007

Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad says the world will witness the destruction of Israel in the near future.   Mr. Ahmadinejad made his remarks Sunday in a speech marking the 18th anniversary of the death of revolutionary founder Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini. Iranian media quoted the president as telling foreign guests that last year's war between Israel and Hezbollah guerrillas in Lebanon had started the countdown to Israel's destruction.

Mr. Ahmadinejad sparked outrage shortly after coming to power in 2005 for saying that Israel should be wiped from the map.   He then repeatedly predicted that Israel would disappear.

The Iranian president caused further controversy when he labeled the holocaust as a myth.   He later invited several Holocaust deniers to a conference in Tehran, playing down the mass slaughter of Jews in World War Two.

Israel can only lose once - WND
Golda Meir astutely summed up Israel's precarious position in the Middle East, "The Muslims can fight and lose, then come back and fight again. But Israel can only lose once."

Israel's present liberal government is learning the hard way that their situation is even more precarious than Golda's maxim.

When Israel fought Iranian-Syrian backed Hezbollah in Lebanon last year and failed to win decisively, they placed Israel into escalating danger.

They are now learning that Israel must not only win, but also achieve absolute victory. You see, in the Muslim mind, because Hezbollah managed to fight for over a month before Israeli leaders mustered enough reserves and resolve to fight them to a draw, they achieved a colossal victory.

Of course, the U.N., as usual, stepped in to save them before the IDF really destroyed them. Nevertheless, they believe that Israel has lost the will to fight and that a suicidal guerrilla force can defeat the vaunted Israeli tanks, air force and technical superiority.

Israel's past experience in their numerous wars with the Arab armies taught one thing clearly – that Israel not only has to win decisively, but also has to do it quickly. They have to win before the Muslim's use the liberal media to turn world opinion against them and the UN comes to save the Muslim armies' glutomus maximi.

Ehud Olmert's indecisiveness, the ineptness of a politically appointed general and failure to immediately go all out to defeat Hezbollah has inspired the entire Muslim world to believe now is the time to attack and destroy Israel.

The IDF paid a heavy price for Israeli "appeasers" giving back southern Lebanon in the hope of peace. The country is also paying heavily for the Muslim mentality created by unilaterally giving over Gaza to Palestinians who had never kept one part of the "Road to Peace" agreements.

Muslim radicals, more than any enemy we have yet faced, view every act of appeasement as a weakness.

We should learn from the words of Winston Churchill. After England's liberal government capitulated to Adolf Hitler at Munich in 1938, Churchill prophetically warned the British people, "This is only the first sip, the first foretaste of a bitter cup which will be proffered to us year by year. …" His words are even truer today.

No concession to Iran's mullahs, no overtures of peace to the terror masters in Damascus and Tehran, no appeasement of Hamas, Hezbollah and Islamic Jihad will ever be enough to bring peace.

These things only spur them to bolder demands. Their holiest book, the Quran, spells out their methods of deception and attack. So how can any Western leader not be charged with criminal negligence?

After the disastrous response of the free world to the criminal taking of British seamen hostage, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has issued even more outrageous threats to the West. In the words of Gary Bauer summing up Ahmadinejad's threats, '"If the West continues to object to its [Iran's] march toward an Islamic bomb, Iran will be forced to withdraw from the nuclear non-proliferation treaty.' In other words, emboldened by our weakness, Iran now implicitly threatens to transfer its nuclear technology to al-Qaida."

The cup it offers us is bitter indeed!

Bible prophecy about the events of the "last days" before Christ's return clearly predict that countries and peoples that are now Muslim will start the last war of the world in alliance with Russia.

As I have written many times before, today's Middle East events are fitting exactly into Ezekiel's predictions recorded in chapters 36 through 39. The "Ezekiel Factor" begins with a miraculous return of Israelites from a long world dispersion; then an even more miraculous rebirth of its nation against impossible odds; then immediate and escalating hostile responses by all of its surrounding neighbors (which are all Muslim today); and finally an all-out attack against Israel by a Persian-led Muslim confederacy, aided by Russia. Hey, it is like a script that was written 2,600 years ago. And in the end, Israel will turn in true faith to her Messiah, Who will deliver her. However, it will be a bit shocking when she finds out His name.

One final observation – if anyone wants proof of the Bible's supernatural origin, Ezekiel's prophecies' present a convincing case.

As I said at the end of our nightly broadcast on TalkProphecy.com Radio last night, "If nothing else, tomorrow will bring us one day closer to the day when we will see Jesus face-to-face." As it turns out, however, today has brought more than that as the headline above suggests!

As seen in a Haaretz article, the present-day Sanhedrin is seeking to revive ancient Temple rituals! The story opens as follows:

The present-day Sanhedrin Court decided Tuesday to purchase a herd of sheep for ritual sacrifice at the site of the Temple on the eve of Passover, conditions on the Temple Mount permitting.

The modern Sanhedrin was established several years ago and is headed by Rabbi Adin Steinsaltz. It claims to be renewing the ancient Jewish high court, which existed until roughly 1600 years ago, and meets once a week.
The prophetic tie-in? If the Sanhedrin resumes ancient Jewish sacrifice rituals near the Temple Mount, it demonstrates there are a number of Jewish people who are longing more and more to make a religious return to the Temple Mount and this plays right into what Bible prophecy tells us is going to come, as foretold by Jesus Christ Himself in Matthew 24!
Matthew 24:15-22:

When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)

Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:

Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:

Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.

And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!

But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:

For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.
Daniel's prophecy is one which will, in the prophetic future, see the Antichrist, approximately 3 and one-half years after the Church was Raptured and he confirmed peace in the Middle East "with many" (Daniel 9:27), enter a Holy Temple of the Jews that will be standing. Upon entering the Temple and desecrating it, he will end the daily sacrifice the Sanhedrin is trying to revive TODAY (Daniel 12:11). This act on the part of the Antichrist will officially mark the start of the second half of the Tribulation Period which we commonly refer to as the Great Tribulation.

Is Jesus Christ coming soon? As I continue to document to the glory of the great God and our Savior, Jesus Christ, it certainly appears so! The prophetic stage leading up to the Rapture of the Church and the visible, physical, bodily return of Jesus Christ at Armageddon is being set all about us!

If you're a Christian today, a wellspring of hope should be flowing in your soul, giving you the strength to press on a little longer and to witness your faith a little stronger!

Luke 21:28: And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

Steps Toward the Unthinkable

A week ago, the London Sunday Times ran a story about Israel’s plan to use small atomic bombs against Iran. "Israel has drawn up secret plans to destroy Iran’s uranium enrichment facilities with tactical nuclear weapons. Two Israeli air force squadrons are training to blow up an Iranian facility using low-yield nuclear 'bunker-busters,' according to several Israeli military sources," said the paper.

The Times quoted another source as saying, "As soon as the green light is given, it will be one mission, one strike and the Iranian nuclear project will be demolished.”

One obviously has to ask why various Israeli military sources would spill the beans on such a sensitive mission. If you're going to launch a surprise attack against your enemy, you normally would want to keep your actions a secret.

The Times reporters who produced the story were also wondering why Israeli officials would leak this type of information. They consulted with military analysts and came up with three possible reasons:

1. The disclosure of the plans could be intended to put pressure on Tehran to halt enrichment.
2. Israel may have been trying to cajole America into action.
3. They might have wanted to soften up world opinion in advance of an Israeli attack.

I would add a fourth reason as possibly being Israel's incapability of carrying out a successful attack. U.S. Army War College has recently concluded that there are too many geopolitical limitations for Israel to carry out a preemptive air strike targeting Iran's nuclear sites.

The report, entitled "Getting Ready for a Nuclear-Ready Iran," said that Israel does not have the military capability to locate and destroy Iranian nuclear facilities, adding that Israel's Air Force cannot operate at such long distances from its bases.

"The Israeli Air Force has formidable capabilities and enjoys unchallenged supremacy vis-à-vis the other Middle East air powers, but Israel has no aircraft carriers and it cannot use airbases in other Middle East states," the report said.

Unlike the now-legendary strike on Iraq’s Osirak nuclear reactor, a bombing run against Iran would be vastly more complex. In the 1981 strike, Iraq only had one facility. The Iranian nuclear project is scattered around anywhere from 200 to 300 sites. While the Osirak reactor was above ground, many of Iran's facilities are in deep underground bunkers.

If Israel is going to take action, nuclear weaponry is the only option that has a chance of working. The one thing preventing the button from being pushed is the perceived notion that the deployment of nuclear weapons is unthinkable. Even though several nations around the world have spent hundreds of billions of dollars devolving nukes, the fear of them triggering a nuclear holocaust has prevented anyone from using them.

Just over a year ago, another news story suggested Israel might use nukes to end Iran’s atomic ambitions. At the time, the story received a sharp negative reaction in Israel. Several leaders said such an idea was crazy, and poured scorn on the paper for printing such a suggestion.

This time around, the reaction was much more muted. The most common reaction was the standard, "Israel is still committed to negotiations with Iran." However, just about every leader in Israel has made some statement that it may be time to consider using force to prevent Iran from becoming a dangerous nuclear power. When considering that conventional weapons have already been ruled out, you can see where Israel’s thinking is headed.

As much as President Bush has been occupied with Iraq, he still realizes the danger Iran poses to Israel. "I want to remind you that the current president of Iran has announced that the destruction of Israel is an important part of their agenda. And that's unacceptable. And the development of a nuclear weapon, it seems like to me, would make them a step closer to achieving that objective," said Bush at a at a joint press conference in Washington, D.C. with German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

I don’t see western nations putting enough pressure on Iran to force it to change its nuclear plans. Many of our friends in Europe rely on Iran for a large portion of their oil imports, which makes them reluctant to support any major sanctions.

I expect to wake up some morning to the news that Israel has attacked Iran's nuclear program. It would not surprise me to learn that the U.S. helped with this effort. After all, Bush is at the point where he has nothing to lose.

I have no idea what would happen next. An attack by Israel against Iran would completely change the dynamics of the Middle East. The world would basically have a cow, and the stage would be set for Russia and the Antichrist to play their end-time roles.

Israel is planning to nuke Iran?

by Michael G. Mickey

According to The Sunday Times, Israel is planning to use nuclear weapons to bring Iran's nuclear weapon program to an end.

The article states, in part, the following:

ISRAEL has drawn up secret plans to destroy Iran’s uranium enrichment facilities with tactical nuclear weapons.

Two Israeli air force squadrons are training to blow up an Iranian facility using low-yield nuclear “bunker-busters”, according to several Israeli military sources.

The attack would be the first with nuclear weapons since 1945, when the United States dropped atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The Israeli weapons would each have a force equivalent to one-fifteenth of the Hiroshima bomb.

Today, while at my "day job", I listened to a radio talk show wherein the host said he wasn't sure exactly what is about to take place but he has an odd sense of impending evil or misfortune. He additionally stated that, although he didn't personally believe it could be true, a recent poll he'd read indicated that 25% of those polled believe that the return of Jesus Christ is going to come in 2007.

Matthew 24:6-8:

And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.

All these are the beginning of sorrows.

Is it any wonder people are feeling somewhat apprehensive at this point? And yet a significant portion of the pews in most churches sit empty on Sunday mornings.

Church, the evidence is piling up that the return of Jesus Christ is drawing near. We have a lot of work to do and, potentially, very quickly!

While we need to remain in a state of preparation to meet our Lord in the air at any moment, we need to be reaching out to all those we love that are lost in their sin, calling them to come to faith in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior before it's too late on this side of the Rapture of the Church.

Think about it! We now face a seemingly no-win scenario. Either Iran isn't stopped from obtaining a nuclear weapon and radical Islam goes nuclear OR Israel is forced to use nuclear weapons to stop Iran because Iran has done such a good job of making its nuclear facilities defendable from conventional weaponry.

And then there's another scenario to consider, in which a heroic peacemaker from the revived Roman empire steps in and confirms a seven-year peace covenant in the Middle East, seemingly saving the world from the brink of a nuclear holocaust.

Something has got to give soon, Christians! Like all of you, I'm left to wonder what that is going to be exactly, although it's no secret what my hope is for us all. That's why I'm sounding the alert that Jesus Christ is coming soon - to anyone willing to listen.

Let’s be honest and tell it like it is.

With Hamas now training their fighters and dividing them into well armed divisions, much like the armies of the world.   Hezbollah already has proven that they can stand up against the third strongest army in the world.   Syria and Iran pouring in truck loads of advanced weaponry into Lebanon, and much of it finding its way into Gaza through Egypt, under the watchful eye of the UN and the Multi-National Forces.   It would appear that the UN Resolution 1701 was even a bigger blunder for Israel than our present Government made of the war itself.

One thing is certain if this Olmert Government last much longer it can only mean bad things for Israel.   If you had the opportunity of seeing Olmert and Bush at their press conference and you have an ounce of discernment you would have seen as I did a man who cannot be trusted with the future of Israel and his only concern is his personal ego.   Not only did Sharon destroy the Zionist dream for thousands of Jews in Israel and around the world by the Gaza Disengagement but he put the icing on the cake by giving us his farewell present “Olmert”.

There is a war on the horizon for us here in Israel and it could well make the last 6 wars pale in comparison.   In fact, if Iran is not stopped soon, it will be too late for Israel and much of the free world will also be held hostage as Iran supplies the Islamic Terrorists around the would with the most deadly weapon known to man.

One thing is certain the Islamic Arab world is making no secret of the fact that they are planning to destroy Israel with an all out attack and sometime very soon.   It is also no secret accept to 80% of the American people, that these same evil monsters are planning a major attack in the US that will make 9/11 pale in comparison.   They feel it is necessary to neutralize the US before attacking Israel so you can expect a very bad day in the US before they attack Israel.   How bad remains to be seen, but one thing is certain their goal is to destroy the economy not the military.

Every day I receive emails telling me that if Connie, Joel and I want we can come and live with them in the US, Australia, New Zealand, many places in Europe and other places.   My response is please tell the Jews to come home to Israel, for the Arabs will not be totally successful in destroying Israel but will only manage to be destroyed themselves.   That is not to say that we here in Israel are not in for some very hard times, but I have read God’s Word and I know this is where He plans for the Apple of His Eye to be.   God is calling every Jew to come home, and they will come one way or the other, either by the fishermen or the hunters.   And many will not make it without our help, so I am asking you not to be discouraged with all these reports you get from the News Media and on the Internet, the best news you will ever get is the Good News (God’s Word).

God is opening doors like only He can, yesterday I met with a man who I will leave nameless for now but he spoke with me about a 28 room house in the mountains of a European Country ready to be a safe house and gathering point for their trip home to Israel.   We will meet many times in the near future putting together plans to rescue Jews.   But once again we find ourselves in the need for even a larger boat, this time a much larger boat.   For it will have to be capable of making a much longer trip with a lot more Jews aboard.   And once again I am asking those who God has brought to this Ministry to pray about their part in what will be the most important ministry any of us has ever been called to.

I am asked many times each month how much time do we have, my answer is I don’t know, but there is in my spirit a certain knowledge that we must be about God’s calling now, and not to hesitate when He calls you to give or move forward in His service.

With this larger boat we would be able to bring crews from many countries, train them not only in sailing but in ministry as well.   As we rotate crews we would in fact be sending out Evangelist around the world on fire for God.   We will be sitting up points of contacts at the same time and ministering to other ministers as we bring supplies as well.

The two boats we now have gives us the ability to do what we can when the time comes to rescue Jews, but they are small in comparison to what we really need, now with the opening of the gathering point in Eastern Europe we know we must reach higher for the larger boat.   Please take the time to read this report again http://www.thegoldenreport.com/asp/jerrysnewsmanager/anmviewer.asp?a=1089&z=1

There is much to be done in Turkey and we are in need of finances to accomplish the groundwork there.   As contacts are being established many other doors begin to open, as God always blesses those who are moving in His direction.

We are about to finish the work on our new boat, it had to have the teak deck replaced, we are being held up by rain as this work cannot be done with a wet deck but all should be finished within a couple weeks.

Today is the 15th the day we take the support to the families we provide food for each month, please pray for them asking God to give them the ability to support themselves and I thank those who send support for this part of the ministry.

There has never been a time in my 30 years of walking with the Lord that I have felt such a need to be about the Father’s business.   At the same time the Word tells us not to be anxious in no thing.   We know that God has a plan for each of us, and He has called those who He would to this Ministry.   I personally feel it is a blessing to those who He has called, for Gen. 12:3 still works, and what God is asking you to do is be blessed by Him.

We need to hear from you this month we need you to make the largest possible gift you can, and to ask others to join us in this Ministry.   God has shown me that you are the Evangelist to this Ministry my job is to educate those who He brings this way.

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem, for our son Joel and al the IDF soldiers.   Pray for this Ministry and your part in it.   Shalom, jerry golden

Terrorist group Hamas has agreed to an international peace conference with Israel in a desperate attempt to start the flow of Western aid coming back to the Palestinian Authority coffers.   Earlier this weekend, Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh said he would resign if the U.S. would resume foreign aid.

"A multilateral conference doesn't make Hamas legitimate," Regev said. "What makes Hamas legitimate is accepting the international benchmarks."

"The Arab League statement said ministers sought a conference to resolve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict "according to international resolutions and the principal of 'land for peace'." Arabs want Hamas to endorse a 2002 Arab initiative that calls for peace in exchange for land seized by Israel in the 1967 Middle East war — theWest Bank, the Gaza Strip and east Jerusalem." http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20061112/ap_on_re_mi_ea/arabs_palestinians_5

At the same time, Israeli officials are saying that Israel must prepare for a full scale war with Syria and Iran.   Some military analyst's say they should have taken out Syria during the war with Hezbollah;

"Syria has consistently supplied Hizbullah with weapons, and according to recent UN reports, has continued to smuggle arms to the organization despite an international embargo. "If they had acted against Syria during this last kerfuffle, the war might have ended more quickly and better," American analyst Richard Perle said."

"Syrian military installations are sitting ducks and the Syrian air force could have been destroyed on the ground in a couple of days," Perle continued. http://www.jpost.com/servlet/Satellite?cid=1162378379290&pagename=JPost/JPArticle/Printer

Certainly, I believe this peace conference is a precursor to the eventual peace agreement Israel will sign with the antichrist.   How far away that day maybe is anyone's guess.

But in the meantime, Israel better get itself ready for a future major war.   Both events are prophetic and will happen.   Could this be another step toward fulfillment?

Are you ready to meet the Lord?   If not, your time is running out!
